Meet the Therapist Behind Your Healing Journey
About Bay Integrative Therapy: Virtual Therapy for Women in Delaware & Virginia
I help women stop chasing love that feels inconsistent, confusing, or emotionally unavailable, and start building relationships from a place of self-trust, security, and deep inner knowing.
If you have spent years trying to be easy to love, easy to choose, easy to stay with, or easy to not “be too much” for someone, you are exactly who I created this space for.
Personal Story
Why I Do This Work
I did not become this kind of therapist by accident.
Growing up, I witnessed emotional unavailability before I had the words for it. Later, I found myself experiencing my own patterns of chasing, earning, proving, and trying to become “enough” for love that was inconsistent. And honestly, that kind of pain messes with you. It can make you question your needs, your instincts, your worth, and your ability to trust yourself.
That is a big part of why I care so deeply about this work. I know what it can feel like to be smart, capable, self-aware, and still feel completely unhinged by a relationship that keeps you guessing. I also know how much shame can come with that. The “why am I like this?” spiral. The “I should know better” voice. The part of you that wants to be done, but keeps hoping this time will be different.
I do not want other women to feel alone in that place. And I really do not want you to think the answer is becoming colder, harder, or less loving. The work is not about shutting your heart down. It is about learning how to stop abandoning yourself to keep someone else close
You're Not Alone
Hi, I’m Kristin
I’m the therapist who will hold space for the messy, complicated, “I know I should not text them but I already drafted the message” parts of you, without making you feel judged or broken.
My therapy style is warm, honest, relational, and deeply human. I bring big sister energy, clinical depth, and a little “girl, we need to look at this pattern” when it is needed. I am not here to shame you. I am here to help you understand yourself so deeply that the old cycle stops making the decisions for you.
In session, I am probably barefoot, crisscross in my chair, maybe in a hoodie, and fully present with you. I cuss sometimes. I laugh with clients. I am direct when it helps. And I can also sit with you in the deeper, heavier places without rushing you out of them.
Therapy with me is not surface-level advice or generic “just set boundaries” content. We are going to get curious about the roots. The nervous system responses. The old wounds. The parts of you that learned love had to be earned. The younger versions of you that are still trying so hard to be chosen
I Work Best With Women Who Are Done Repeating the Same Relationship Cycle
The women who find me are usually in their 20s and 30s. They are insightful, emotionally aware, and tired as hell from being the one who always cares more.
You might be navigating dating, a situationship, a breakup, a long-term relationship, or a relationship pattern that keeps showing up no matter who you are with. You may know you are people-pleasing, overfunctioning, overexplaining, or abandoning yourself, but knowing that has not magically made it stop.
This work is for you if you are ready to understand why unavailable love feels so familiar, why inconsistency can feel addictive, and how to build a more secure relationship with yourself first.

My Background & Training
I am a licensed therapist with specialized training in EMDR, trauma, attachment, and relational healing. I provide virtual therapy for women in Delaware and Virginia. My clinical background includes work in substance use and behavioral health beginning in 2011, with a focus on primary mental health therapy beginning in 2018.
Over the years, my work has deepened around trauma, complex trauma, dissociation, relational patterns, attachment wounds, and the ways women learn to disconnect from themselves in order to maintain connection with others.

My approach is integrative, which means I do not believe one single method fits every client. We may use EMDR, parts work, nervous system awareness, relational therapy, and honest conversation to help you understand not just what you do, but why it makes sense based on what you have lived through.
My Mission
My mission is to help women stop confusing emotional inconsistency with chemistry, stop shrinking their needs to keep people close, and start building relationships from security instead of survival.
At Bay Integrative Therapy, I want therapy to feel real, safe, honest, and deeply rooted. This is a space where you can bring the part of you that knows better and the part of you that still wants to text them back. Both parts are welcome here. We will work with all of it
My Therapy Philosophy
I believe your relationship patterns are not random. They are usually protective. At some point, people-pleasing, chasing, overgiving, staying quiet, or trying to earn love may have helped you feel safer, closer, or less alone.
But what once protected you may now be keeping you stuck in relationships that feel one-sided, confusing, or emotionally unsafe
My work is about helping you meet those patterns with compassion and accountability. We can understand why they started while still helping you stop letting them run your life. You do not have to hate the version of you who learned to chase love. But you also do not have to let her keep choosing for you.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and direct. I will not sit silently while you perform being “fine.” I will ask thoughtful questions. I will notice patterns. I will help you slow down and listen to the parts of you that have been carrying too much for too long.
Some sessions may feel reflective and grounding. Some may feel emotional and deep. Some may include humor, cussing, crying, and the kind of truth-telling that makes you laugh because, yep, we both know exactly what just happened there. The goal is not perfection. The goal is self-trust. The goal is not becoming someone who never needs anyone. The goal is becoming someone who no longer betrays herself to be loved.
You Are Allowed to Want More Than Breadcrumbs
You are allowed to want consistency. You are allowed to want emotional safety. You are allowed to want someone who chooses you without making you audition for basic care.
And you are allowed to become the version of yourself who no longer settles for less just because less feels familiar. If you are ready to stop chasing love and start healing the pattern underneath it, I would be honored to work with you
